HARM FOR THE HOLIDAYS follows a charming asshole who moves back in with his dysfunctional family after learning about his brother’s recent suicide attempt, only to find that his brother is the sanest of them all (BAD SANTA meets SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK).

HARM FOR THE HOLIDAYS has won 5 awards/honors in the last 2 months, and LaPoma’s 9 scripts have won 91 awards/honors overall.

A NOBLE TRUTH Advances in Wayfarer Film Festival

Jonathan LaPoma’s feature-length coming-of-age drama A NOBLE TRUTH is an official selection of the 2016 Wayfarer Film Festival, which “…embodies the spirit of the great American road trip, the lost traveler, and the unbeaten path.”

A NOBLE TRUTH follows two estranged best friends who take a road trip through the US and into Mexico to discover what truths unite people in a world slipping deeper into apathy and discord. It’s soon event, however, that truth is the last thing either man seeks (EASY RIDER meets THE MOTORCYCLE DIARIES).

A NOBLE TRUTH has won 17 awards/honors, and LaPoma’s 9 scripts have won 90 overall.

Jonathan LaPoma’s feature-length script HARM FOR THE HOLIDAYS has won 4th place in the 2016 Indie Gathering Film Festival’s Comedy screenplay category.

HARM FOR THE HOLIDAYS follows an unrepentant asshole with a heart of gold who moves back in with his comically dysfunctional family to help his younger brother after his brother tries to commit suicide a few weeks before Christmas. It’s soon evident, however, that the brother is the sanest of them all.
